AUDIO VISUAL SYSTEMS AT TOYOTA SINGAPORE OFFICE

Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific (TTAP) partnered with Ideal Systems to set up their new office in OUE Downtown 2, Singapore, with a focus on creating a full hybrid work environment. This innovative approach allows employees to work both in the office and from home.

To make this hybrid work model seamless and user-friendly, Ideal Systems focused on enhancing audiovisual (AV) elements in ensuring this new hybrid work operation will provide the best user experience for their employees, whether working in the office or from home.  This included setting up AV equipment in various rooms like the MD room, boardroom, meeting rooms of various sizes, open work spaces, town hall area and 7 “camp areas” where employees can get into a videoconferencing meeting or huddle for work discussions in an ad-hoc manner across the seven open spaces.

16 Pax Boardroom

Ideal Systems and the TTAP project team explored different AV technologies and concluded with Maxhub V6 all-in-one interactive displays and Yealink video conferencing solutions. Each of the meeting rooms and the camp areas are deployed with dual Maxhub displays running Zoom Rooms. The boardroom is equipped with the Yealink MVC960 suite, Shure MXA 910 ceiling microphone and great-sounding Sonance ceiling and frontal surface speakers.

10 Pax Room

The individual meeting rooms are all equipped with a dual MAXHUB interactive display setup and a MAXHUB UCS10-PRO videobar.

Town Hall Section

The Town Hall section, with movable tables and chairs, is equipped with two Epson 7,000 lumens projectors and an Audio Technica System 10 wireless microphone system.

One of the Seven Camp Areas

Next to the Town Hall section are 7 open areas known as “camps” where employees can huddle and even get into a Zoom meeting instantly. Each camp is equipped with a dual Maxhub interactive display setup.

Throughout the entire workspace, a mixture of Sonance ceiling, surface and pendant speakers provide ambient music via Yamaha’s MTX series background music system. These also double up as an announcement system for “paging” employees to gather at specific locations for events.

Audio Technica Wireless Gooseneck Microphone System

The entire open-office area measuring approximately 40 m x 30 m. In addition, there is a central café-like island in the space where a barista makes coffee for the staff, who might lounge and chat at surrounding tables. During Zoom Room meetings, that noise would often get picked up by the interactive display’s built-in microphone, leading to confusion for off-site colleagues on the call who would hear various lines of conversation – those of meeting participants and those from other discussion areas. Because there are no walls or partitions in the space, conversation and other noise travels freely. To address the inherent noise of the open space and close proximity between adjacent camps, Audio Technica wireless hypercardioid gooseneck microphones are added to enhance voice capture and minimise audio pick-up from adjacent camps and the general surroundings.

LG digital signage displays are also deployed at the reception area and the centre of the open space for showcasing TTAP’s corporate videos and staff information.

The new TTAP office went live by the end of 2022 and the users have enjoyed the new hybrid work environment powered by well-thought-out and high-quality solutions to address the different needs in each operational area.

TTAP continues to partner with Ideal Systems to explore innovative solutions to transform the physical workspaces into virtual spaces that allow instant interaction with offices in other regions, as though these different offices exist within the same physical workspace. This “zero-distance” concept brings hybrid work environment to a whole new level!
