Transforming Abu Dhabi Media with Innovative Studio Build
Ideal Systems completed the transformation of the studio's new look for Abu Dhabi Media (ADM), involving the supply and installation of a state-of-the-art studio facility within their brand-new 2900 sqft space. The objective was clear: to create a new studio space that aligns with ADM's vision and introduces a fresh look and concept.
Building the Studio Set:
Ideal Systems, with its expertise in studio construction, supplied and built a studio set for ADM, which includes the interview set and the main set. The scope of work covered a myriad of elements, including raised glass flooring, void provision, floor light boxes, video wall side framing, electrical cabling, presenter desk, and more. The meticulous attention to detail ensured a seamless integration of various components to craft a visually stunning and functional studio space.
Video Wall Integration:
A highlight of the project was the supply and installation of a sophisticated 106 sqm fine-pitch LED video wall system by Liantronics, complemented by redundant H15 NovaStar processors, which delivered unparalleled graphics quality. Three distinct video walls, strategically positioned on motorized screens, added a visual dimension to the studio environment. What makes this project special is its unique design with 7-sided LED displays. On top of that, there is a creative movable LED screen in the middle of the seven screens, which can move freely to suit different broadcasting needs.
VIZRT Infrastructure:
The integration of VIZRT infrastructure, handled by Ideal and VIZRT teams, included hardware and software installation and configuration. This encompassed seven Video Wall Engines, two Touch Engines, VIZ Multiplay in the studio gallery, and AR Engines with Mo-Sys system—a comprehensive solution to elevate ADM's production capabilities.
Consultancy Services:
In addition to the technical aspects, Ideal Systems played a crucial role in providing consultancy services. The editorial, creative, and production teams benefited from Ideal's expertise in designing shooting plans and production scenarios.
Ideal Systems delivered a comprehensive set of equipment as part of the project, including lighting fixtures, a lighting desk, DMX splitters, and various accessories. The studio was equipped with the Pedestal Osprey Elite Studio, EPIC-IP teleprompter, camera fiber cables, studio floor monitors, waveform monitors, audio antenna cables, glue equipment, and network switches—each component carefully selected to enhance the overall production environment.
Ideal System also provided one ceiling-mounted BlackCam Ceiling camera robotic rail system for the studio.
The transformation of ADM's studio space has not only met the outlined objectives but has set a new standard for innovation and functionality in broadcast studios.
